Running ETH 2.0 testnet

Hello good people,

I intend to run an ETH 2.0 validator testnet in my newly acquired NUC.
I’ve installed the latest version of DAppNode and am a bit confused on how to get the (test) validator up and running. I’m aware I need some Goerli ETH for testing, that much is clear to me.

But what packages do I need to install from the DAppStore?
I’ve tried downloading Goerli GETH and Prysm Pyrmont. But after installing Pyrmont, it redirects me to importing a validator key. And the YouTube video on your site shows a completely different route. (one that does not include key import at all)

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi there, have you been to the Pyrmont checklist? Within this checklist you will get to the actual deposit and key creation. Eth2 Launch Pad

Best of luck!

There are 4 steps:

  1. You need 33 goerli geth (https://raymonddurk.medium.com/how-to-stake-for-ethereum-2-0-with-dappnode-231fa7689c02) Here you can see how to do it. On the part Set Up The Beacon Chain And Pick A Validator.

  2. Create the keystores.

  3. Dappnode, install goerli geth node and prysm pyrmont package.

  4. Import the keystores on pyrmont package like , you have a guide here https://medium.com/dappnode/step-by-step-staking-for-dappnode-users-92fdf7db0d0d
