Solution:
From a security point of view using an external Beacon Node is extremely dangerous.
Using an external Eth1 node is not that dangerous and could be a last-minute option in case your device gets full.
Note however that if the eth1 node is unreachable or malicious it can prevent you from proposing correct blocks.
