What needs to be done in DappNode to make sure that the Geth eth1 node stays synced during the upcoming hardforks? Is enabling auto updates all that needs to be done?

Hi there! yes, enabling auto-updates should be enought to get packages updates. Anyway you could go directly to the dappstore, look for the package an check if its updated or not
